Dear Friends and Family of L5P,
Thank you for celebrating our dead in style! That was something else.We think we should do it every year! We'll be in touch!
In case you missed it:
We said, "Let’s celebrate our dead!" We invited all to contribute a rememberance to an All Souls Altar at your L5P hangout, 10/29-11/1. We offered blank altar cards, where a person could simply leave a note. The wonderful participating businesses were Criminal Records, Corner Tavern, Souther Star Tattoo, the Start Bar, Coyote Trading, Cameli's, 7 Stages, Elmyr, and the Euclid Avenue Yacht Club!
The altars invited the dead to visit, and they did!
On November 1, all were invited dress skeleton fabulous and join the Parade of the Dead with the Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons giant skeleton puppets & Wasted Potential Brass Band. We mustered in Findley Plaza in the evening with free Skellie face painting by Andrea Zoppo (Miss Ladybug).
We visited all the altars, delivered flowers, and finished at the Euclid Avenue Yacht Club. The Parade of the Dead processed on the sidewalk with several stops. Here is the route. The altars were deeply meaningful to us all. We love our dead.
We are proud to be a part of Little Five Arts Alive! And always delighted to partner with the Euclid Avenue Yacht Club.
