Alley Cat bicycle races are popular in Atlanta. Although spectators would enjoy the race, the check points being a secret are part of the racer’s challenge. Positioning photographers at the checkpoints allowed all to see an otherwise invisible and solitary experience.

The photographers raced to the finish to present their photo show to the racers. The race portraits projected onto the side of a building made the cyclists and the photographers rock stars.

This project will be repeated in March 2012 in collaboration with SoPo Bicycle Cooperative.
