Every May, the summer fairies are welcomed home with houses built for them at the Lake Claire Community Land Trust. The houses are built by people of all ages from all natural materials found on the Land Trust or brought from gardens. The houses are often extensively furnished and landscaped with food, presents, and notes left for the fairies. At dusk, they are lit with candles and “toured.”
